Strengthening SSE Policy in Asia, Capacity Building Workshop (29-31 March 2021)

As part of the project “Strengthening Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) Policy in Asia”, ILO has partnered with the Korean Social Enterprise Promotion Agency (KoSEA) and Underdogs to hold a virtual capacity building workshop on March 29-31, 2021 following the research conference Mapping Social and Solidarity Economy in Asia, held in September 2020.

The purpose of this workshop is to:

  • Deepen the understanding of opportunities and challenges facing SSE actors;
  • Strengthen the technical capacity of participants toward developing and/or strengthening their SSE policies and programs;
  • Build a network of SSE policy stakeholders in Asia.

ILO constituents (governments, employers, and workers’ representatives), practitioners, researchers and other relevant stakeholders from six Asian countries (China, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines) are taking part in this workshop.

The project Strengthening SSE Policy in Asia is funded by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) of the Republic of Korea. The project aims to enhance the understanding of the SSE in Asia and the Pacific region and provide technical support to countries in need of developing/strengthening their SSE policy.
